1. Requesting Tag/Registration for a Owned VehicleDocuments Needed:
-Valid PA Driver’s License or PA Photo Identification Card. -PA title in the owner's name or documents showing it has been titled in the owner's name. -Valid and current Insurance Identification Card containing the purchaser’s name is required. |
2. InTransit Plate (out of state purchaser)
If a vehicle titled in PA is being bought by an out of state buyer, we can issue a temporary 60 day in transit tag for the buyer to transport the vehicle to their home state.
Documents Needed: - Valid Driver’s License for the state it will be registered in. - Pennsylvania Certificate of Title. Title has to be notarized or the seller has to be present with their ID. - Valid and current Insurance ID Card containing the purchaser’s name and has to be issued in the same state as the drivers license. |
3. Replacement of Lost or Stolen Plate- Valid PA driver’s license or PA state id card.
- Vehicle’s registration card or a document that has the VIN number and plate number of the vehicle. -Valid and current Insurance Identification Card containing the owner's name is required. In most cases, we will be able to instantly assign you a new plate and print out your new registration card. |
4. Registration RenewalDocuments Needed:
- Previous registration card or renewal offer slip mailed to you from PennDot. If you don’t have either of these, we will need the VIN number and plate number of the vehicle. -PA drivers license or state id. - Valid and current PA insurance card. Vehicle has to be listed on the insurance card. Registration will be renewed and issued on the spot. |
6. Transfer plate from one vehicle to another both owned by same ownerDocuments Needed:
-Valid PA drivers license or PA state id card. -Registration for both vehicle. If not available, we need VIN number for both vehicles, plate number, and expiration date of plate number. -Valid and current PA insurance id card listing the vehicle that the plate will be transferred to. |
